Meanwhile, Glen in his cage, sees behind the scenes footage of the movie on TV, he sees the mark "Made in Japan" on Chucky's hand which he also has and says "I'm not an orphan after all!". She hears from Joan that rapper Redman is looking for an actress to his directorial debut film about the Virgin Mary. She is tired of Hollywood not taking her seriously.
While Jennifer Tilly talks to her agent Joan, she hides a candy bar in the animatronic Chucky's pocket. Chucky starts stabbing him until it turns out to be a scene for a movie titled "Chucky Goes Psycho" and the man retires from being in it. Tiffany comes in and restrains him with a slinky. Angered, he kicks the toys until he comes upon Chucky in front of one of the tombstones. Then, we cut to a man dressed up as Santa Claus walking through a cemetery and talking to his girlfriend via a cellphone while a knife cuts through his toy sack, causing the toys to fall out. Glen is also the star of a puppet show in England called "Psychs and Shitface" and wonders what his parents look like. This sequence turns out to be a nightmare that Chucky and Tiffany's child Glen was having as he's waken up locked in a cage by his ventriloquist owner Psychs, who nicknamed him "Shitface". Then, it heads to Claudia's room, but when the doll urinates his pants, she ridicules him.
Then, the doll rushes to the bathroom, where Claudia's mother is taking a shower and proceeds to kill her. He gets stabbed by the doll in the chest, causing him to fall from the staircase to his death. Later on, the doll gets up, picks up a knife, and climbs downstairs to kill Claudia's mother, but is found by Claudia's father, who proceeds to scold Claudia for leaving her toy in the stairs hallways. Six years after the events of Bride of Chucky, a little girl named Claudia gets a doll as a birthday present, which she describes as the ugliest thing she ever saw in her life. Then, the scene ends with the baby passing through the vagina. Among the truly twisted images that appear during this pursuit: Tiffany flashes her naked doll breasts, Chucky - um - provides a sperm sample, and Tiffany injects it into a tied-up Tilly using a turkey baster.The movie begins with a Look Who's Talking reference where Chucky's sperm goes inside Tiffany's womb where a baby is conceived and grows over time. Chucky wants Glen to be a killer like his old man Tiffany wants a more wholesome life for Glenda and insists that they go through a 12-step program for their homicidal tendencies.īoth agree that they need to transfer their souls to human bodies because they’re sick of being dolls, and they go after Tilly and Redman. Tiffany sees the softer side of her child and wants to name her Glenda (an homage to Ed Wood).
But when Chucky and Tiffany finally meet the child they never knew they had - because, you know, they died at the end of the fourth movie and have come back to life here - they find that their offspring is sexually ambivalent and speaks in a British accent (Billy Boyd, who played Pippin in the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, provides the voice).Ĭhucky (voiced as always by the sardonic Brad Dourif) insists that the child is a boy, despite his anatomical incorrectness, and wants to name him Glen. (The ending clearly sets up a sixth installment in the franchise, though, so there’s still time.)Įven the title sequence is funny: Tiny Chucky sperm swim furiously toward their eggy destination to create the titular spawn. You half expect Gruden himself to appear, he’s been described so often as a Chucky look-alike. There are references to everything from Martha Stewart and Britney Spears to “The Shining” and “Chinatown.” Ryan Seacrest blares from a clock radio and an “Access Hollywood” correspondent reports from the movie set. Rapper Redman also shows up and plays himself the running joke with him is that the co-star of the movie “How High” is planning to direct his own movie, about the Virgin Mary, in which Tilly the sex kitten is dying to play the lead. Tilly - who provides the voice of Chucky’s wife, Tiffany, and starred in “Bride of Chucky” six years ago - plays herself here in a movie-within-the-movie: a big-screen rendering of the Chucky urban legend, titled “Chucky Goes Psycho.” One need only witness the presence of camp director John Waters, playing a paparazzo who stalks camp queen Jennifer Tilly, to recognize the direction we’re headed. This time, though, Don Mancini (who has written all the Chucky movies and makes his directorial debut) dives into deep camp, cramming the screen with pop culture references and Hollywood in-jokes.
