This meant that I experienced many different job roles in my short time with the company. Lastly, I moved around the company quite a lot due to how the apprenticeship was laid out. Secondly, I met a lot of great people at Visa Europe and was given a handful of fantastic opportunities such as running with the Olympic Torch during the London 2012 Olympics - still one of my grandparent’s proudest moments.
This may sound like a relatively simple thing to learn, but being able to learn this earlier on saved me from being ten years into a career before discovering it wasn’t what I really wanted. The first and most important was that it helped me learn that I really did want to work within the games industry. In all honesty, I really needed the experience of working there for a few reasons.

But do you know what? I reviewed the shit out of Bus Simulator 2008. Much to my glee, I received it from my parents, tore through the plastic shielding that was protecting from my grubby little mitts and spent the next month playing the living shite out of it.įor whatever reason, I decided that I wanted to write a review for this game. I’d seen a lot of adverts for it and was engulfed by the realism, open-world nature, and the fire mechanics within the game. It began on my 16th birthday - Far Cry 2 had been released a few months prior and, being a 16 year-old, I wasn’t exactly rolling in money so I’d asked my parents for a copy on Xbox 360 for my birthday.
